Our team will provide the rationale for our knowledge-based curriculum, and offer study and practice of the academic systems and critical curriculum elements that support strong lesson execution.
Academic systems and curriculum elements include:
- Knowledge-Building Tools
- Ways of Reading: FASE Reading (formerly called Control the Game) & Accountable Independent Reading
- Writing for Reading
- Discussion and Check for Understanding
- Lesson Preparation
This workshop will consist of five 90-minute online sessions over the course of a week (Monday through Friday from 1:00pm – 2:30pm Eastern Standard Time). These will be supported by optional asynchronous learning activities (including, but not limited to pre/post readings, video analysis, and practice). Although the workshop content is for supporting teachers in the “brick-and-mortar” world, one of our objectives will be to model online engagement strategies so participants will be equipped to lead training that can be delivered in person or online.
YOU WILL RECEIVE:
As in our regular Train the Trainer workshops, schools will have the option to purchase the Implementation Toolkit License. The school leader will receive a link to download copies of all workshops materials, including:
- PowerPoint deck used in the webinar
- All video clips shown
